Minutes from the Special Union City Commission Meeting
Mayor Don Kirby and presiding officer of the City of Union, Kentucky called to order the Special Meeting at 5:36 p.m. in the Union City Building Auditorium, 1843 MT. ZION ROAD for the purpose of giving second reading of the following City Ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO. 2008-005 – AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF UNION KENTUCKY APPROVING A LEASE FOR THE FINANCING OF A PUBLIC PROJECT IN A MAXIMUM PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $375,000; PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT AND SECURITY OF THE LEASE; DIRECTING THE MAINTENANCE OF THE HERETOFORE CREATED SINKING FUND AS SECURITY FOR THE LEASE; AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF VARIOUS DOCUMENTS RELATED TO SUCH LEASE. Mayor Kirby called for a motion to approve on second reading. Motion made by Mr. Adams and seconded by Mr. Mefford Motion carried unanimously.
PRESENT: Mayor Don Kirby, City Commissioners: John Adams, Bob Kelly and John Mefford.
OTHERS PRESENT: City Administrator Warren Moore, City Attorney Greg Voss and City Clerk Kathy Porter. ABSENT: City Commissioner Mr. Todd Sayers.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business on the agenda for this special meeting, Mr. Mefford made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Adams. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Don Kirby declared the meeting adjourned at 5:39p.m.
