After her presentation and discussion the Commission members decided to take the proposal home for more consideration, and possibly discuss this further at the next regular business meeting.
Mr. Jennings had researched various options for a complete compensation package for the city clerk. Information had been obtained regarding the figures for the County Employees Retirement System. The city clerk would be required to contribute 5% of her gross salary and the city (Employer) would contribute a rate determined by the Retirement System Board that could vary from year to year. Through this fiscal year the rate is 8.22% of gross salary and starting July 1, 1999 the rate would be 7.28% of gross salary.
