Mayor Moore called the public hearing to order at 7:30 p.m. Present were Commissioners Jonathan Jennings, Eddie Johnson, Gina Logsdon and Wayne McClellan. Also in attendance were City Attorney David W. Martin, City Clerk, Kathy Porter and City Engineer Willard Rusk.

The purpose of the public hearing was to hear written and oral comments or suggestions on the proposed property tax rate for 1999. Mayor Moore stated that the floor is open for the citizens who would like to make comments regarding the proposed tax rate. Mayor Moore recognized Mr. & Mrs. Lynn Ernst of Lassing Green Subdivision and Mr. Greg Egbers of Hempsteade Subdivision. After discussion and hearing comments regarding the proposed tax rate. Commissioner McClellan made a motion to adjourn with second by Mr. Johnson. Motion carried unanimously and the meeting was declared adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
