SPECIAL MEETING
MINUTES
August 28, 2000
The special meeting scheduled of the Union City Commission was called to order by Mayor Warren S. Moore at 7:30 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2000, in the Union City Building Auditorium.
The following members of the City Commission were present: Mr. Jonathan Jennings, Mr. Eddie Johnson, Mr. Wayne McClellan and Mr. Gary McCormick. Also present were Attorney Greg D. Voss and City Clerk Kathy Porter.
Citizens in the audience: Mr. Michael Trout, Mr. Kelly Brown, Mr. Randy Barlow and Kentucky Post Reporter: Ms. Shelly Whitehead.
The purpose of the special meeting is for second reading of the following Ordinance:
Mayor Moore gave second reading of ORDINANCE NO. 2000-007, - AN ORDINANCE OF THE UNION CITY COMMISSION ADOPTING AS MODIFIED THE UNION TOWN PLAN AS A SPECIAL LAND USE, ZONING AND DESIGN CORRIDOR STUDY FOR A 1,850 ACRE AREA GENERALLY LOCATED WEST OF OLD U.S. 42, WEST OF UNION VILLAGE AND PLANTATION POINTE SUBDIVISIONS, SOUTH OF LONGBRANCH ROAD AND NORTH OF RICE PIKE, THIS STUDY AREA BEING LOCATED PARTLY IN THE CITY LIMITS OF UNION, KENTUCKY AND PARTLY IN UNINCORPORATED AREA OF BOONE COUNTY, KENTUCKY. A motion to pass on second reading of Ordinance No. 2000-007 was made by Mr. McClellan with second by Mr. Jennings. Motion passed unanimously.
There being no further business on the agenda for this special meeting, Mayor Moore entertained a motion to adjourn. Mr. Johnson made a motion to adjourn, second by Mr. McCormick. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Warren S. Moore declared the meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
