CITY OF UNION, KENTUCKY

October 16, 2000

The special meeting scheduled of the Union City Commission was called to order by Mayor Warren S. Moore at 7:30p.m. Monday, October 16, 2000, in the Union City Building Auditorium.

The following members of the Commission were present: Mr. Jonathan Jennings, Mr. Wayne McClellan and Mr. Gary McCormick. Absent was Mr. Eddie Johnson.

Also present were City Clerk Kathy Porter and Attorney Greg D. Voss, representing in absentia City Attorney David W. Martin. Mr. Collin Tracy of Boy Scout Troop 845 was in the audience.

The purpose of the special meeting is to have second reading of the following Ordinance:

Mayor Moore gave second reading of ORDINANCE NO. 2000-008, - AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND FIXING THE TAX RATES OF THE CITY OF UNION, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 2000, LEVYING SAID TAX UPON REAL AND TANGIBLE PROPERTY; FIXING THE DATE OF PAYMENT, DISCOUNT PAYMENT, DELINQUENCY AND INTEREST CHARGES; FIXING THE PURPOSE THEREFORE; AND SETTING FORTH THE PROCEDURE FOR COLLECTION OF TAXES. A motion to pass on second reading of Ordinance No. 2000-008 was made by Mr. Jennings with second by Mr. McCormick. Motion passed unanimously.

There being no further business on the agenda for this special meeting, Mr. McClellan made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Jennings. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Warren S. Moore declared the meeting adjourned at 7:32p.m.
