CITY ENGINEER REPORT
Mr. Jim Curry of David Estes Engineering, Inc.
reported that the road repairs done recently by contractor Reigler Blacktop,
Inc. are complete and the quantities were verified. The invoice was included on
the list of bills for payment tonight and Mayor Kirby asked about the difference
in the cost from the bid amount. Mr. Curry commented that between the times the
measuring of the road was done and by the time they did the work about a month had
passed. The area expanded and more road-way was deteriorated than what was
originally measured at the time of bidding the work. Therefore, that made a
difference in the amount of what was bid and what was estimated for the final invoice
price.
