City Seeking Volunteers for Economic Development Committee

Looking for a Volunteer Opportunity?

The City of Union is seeking qualified applicants to fill immediate vacancies on the Economic Development Committee. The purpose of the Economic Development Committee (EDC) is to advise the Union City Commission on economic development issues and to assist in the development of the Union Town Center. The Union EDC usually meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00PM at the Union City Building.

As a representative to this board, the appointee will be required to attend monthly business meetings usually on the third Wednesday of every month at the Union City Building, 1843 Mt. Zion Road, Union, KY . Additional committee meetings and special meetings may apply. Appointments are for four (4) year terms.

Qualified candidates should be well rounded and generally familiar with business development, economic planning and basic principles of planning and zoning. Candidates must either reside in the City of Union, or own or operate a business in the City of Union.
